| For some time now, Fisch has been working on a simple method of detecting tungsten fakes as an addition to the other checks done by the Fisch. This device is called The Ringer, and is a tool that creates a ring out of the coin. A 916 fine gold coin has a long distinct ring when struck, 999 fine gold has a less distinct ring, but a tungsten fake coin would only produce a dull thud. |
