The LONDOLOZI Mintmark

The Londolozi Private Game Reserve's story began in1926, more than 70 years ago, when two teenage friends, Charles Boyd Varty and Frank Unger, stood for the first time on the banks of the Sand River, where the water ran clear and cool over the granite rocks and the bushveld stretched to the horizon and looked into the future.

Londolozi uses the head and shoulders of a magnificent leopard in their logo, truly depicting their quest as "Protector of Living Things".

The 1oz 24 ct gold reverse design depicts the leopard lazily lying in a tree, a familiar picture as leopards are much more at home in trees than any other African cat. The obverse shows the growling, fierce face of this powerful and solitary predator.
