Description:
The BIG FIVE have been depicted over the years from 1994 to 1998. South Africa has an abundance of protected wildlife and nature reserves. In the Natura series, is a unique collection of Africa's Big Five beautifully depicted on each of these coins
The designs were done by various artists, the obverse of the Lion coins was designed by Susan Erasmus, and the reverse by Johan Steyn. The Rhino and Elephant obverse designed by Arthur Sutherland and reverse by Brian Hartland. The Buffalo obverse and reverse by Arthur Sutherland and lastly the Leopard obverse designed by Arthur Sutherland and the reverse by Johan Steyn.
